_Some valuable advice... "I always knew I was going to be rich. I don't think I ever doubted it for a minute" - Warren Buffett Simply Beautiful 12/08/2011
Our life is frittered away by detail.... Simplify, simplify. ---Thoreau--- Are You Stuck in the moment? 11/25/2011
_ When you say I am “Stuck” It tends to have a negative connotation to it….such as I am stuck in a: -Bad relationship with work, friends and family -Huge amount of debt -Position where I have to do certain things that I do not feel like doing Why is that? Why does it have to be negative? Why can’t we be stuck in a happy and positive state? _ I have not posted on my site for over 3 weeks, why? Because I am stuck in a happy and blissful moment with my 19 month daughter Mikayla. Each day and each moment she grows and develops so quickly. These were the moments in time that I can never rewind and replay. That is why for the past 3 weeks I have been enjoying each moment with her because when I am around her, she radiates happiness, innocence and love for life. Being with her reminds me of that and more. So next time you are stuck….make sure you are stuck in something that brings you joy, happiness and positivity for life. Standing Strong and True ( For Tomorrow ) 11/11/2011
_Here is our dear friend Arthur who is 92 yrs old now and still going strong with so much zest for life and we always appreciate and enjoy from Arthur sharing his experiences. Thank you Arthur, you are a wonderful friend and amazing inspiration. _Paying tribute to all the brave men and women who fought for freedom...for all of us. Thank you again. How would you like to spend your Simple Sunday's? We are so wound up and kept busy with the past week that we sometimes do not have enough time to unwind, de-clutter, simplify, relax. Well...its Sunday and you can do whatever you want. Besides spending time with family and friends. I have decided to turn my previous office room into our baby room for our 18 month daughter and second baby coming soon. My new office space is now smaller yet more focused, zen-like, simplified and allows me to be in my own creative world. Here are some other suggestions for you to simplify your Sunday: 1) Clean out and organize all your email accounts, cellphone contacts and organizers. 2) Pick out a room(or place) in your home to clean, simplify, de-clutter 3) Read a good book, converse with family/friends, cook, paint, sing, dance and anything else that makes you smile. Have a fantastic simple Sunday! As I have aged..... 10/28/2011
I friend sent me this hilarious yet thoughtful email. Thought I should share this with everyone. Have a wonderful weekend everyone! As I've aged, I've become kinder to myself, and less critical of myself. I've become my own friend.I have seen too many dear friends leave this world, too soon; before they understood the great freedom that comes with aging.Whose business is it, if I choose to read, or play, on the computer, until 4 AM, or sleep until noon? I will dance with myself to those wonderful tunes of the 60 &70's, and if I, at the same time, wish to weep over a lost love, I will.I will walk the beach, in a swim suit that is stretched over a bulging body, and will dive into the waves, with abandon, if I choose to, despite the pitying glances from the jet set. They, too, will get old.I know I am sometimes forgetful. But there again, some of life is just as well forgotten. And, I eventually remember the important things. Sure, over the years, my heart has been broken. How can your heart not break, when you lose a loved one, or when a child suffers, or even when somebody's beloved pet gets hit by a car? But, broken hearts are what give us strength, and understanding, and compassion. A heart never broken, is pristine, and sterile, and will never know the joy of being imperfect. I am so blessed to have lived long enough to have my hair turning gray, and to have my youthful laughs be forever etched into deep grooves on my face. So many have never laughed, and so many have died before their hair could turn silver. As you get older, it is easier to be positive. You care less about what other people think. I don't question myself anymore. I've even earned the right to be wrong. So, to answer your question, I like being old. It has set me free. I like the person I have become. I am not going to live forever, but while I am still here, I will not waste time lamenting what could have been, or worrying about what will be. And I shall eat dessert every single day (if I feel like it). MAY OUR FRIENDSHIP NEVER COME APART, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT'S STRAIGHT FROM THE HEART! What have you always wanted to try or do that is different? What have you already done in the past that was fun, exhilarating, relaxing or fulfilling? Why don't you go ahead and do something new for the next 30 days? or Why don't you go ahead and do something you have not done in a long long time for the next 30 days? Reflect on how you feel after your 30 day boot camp. Thanksgiving: George Winston 10/10/2011
