Whether you think you can or think you can't - you are right.

---Henry Ford---

If you hear a voice within you say "you cannot paint," then by all means paint, and that voice will be silenced.

---Vincent Van Gogh---

I am convinced all of humanity is born with more gifts than we know.  Most are born geniuses and just get de-geniused rapidly.

Where:

This may seem like such an obvious question but you would be surprised at some of the answers I have received. I am very curious as to where do all of you get your moments of “eurekas” or mini-epiphanies? The best part is that all we need is a moment of creative spark within us and BAM... ideas start to sprout into creative and productive endeavours.

-Home; any particular section of your house?

-Nature; parks, trails, beach, mountain, ocean?

-Urbanized atmosphere; coffee shop, shopping mall(particular section?), streets, work environment?

-On an airplane, car, boat, train?

-Others?

Rank your location of creativity from most effective to least effective.

Write down how and why are some areas are more effective than others.

When:

When do you feel is the best moment for you to think creatively?

-Mornings?

-Afternoons?

-Evenings?

-After a long walk?

-After a power nap?

-After a meal?

-Other?

Rank your moment of creativity after a particular time frame from most effective to least effective.

Write down why are some areas are more effective than others.

Why:

Why not?

Everyone has the ability to express their unique creative talents. Its all up to us to take that first step towards achieving our goals/dreams, as long as we have enough compelling reasons to do so.

So what does your “5 W's of Creative Mojo” look like?

Did you write down your 5 W's and rank them?

By breaking down your creativity process, did this exercise help you increase your creativity level?

"Don't Make Assumptions. Find the courage to ask questions and to express what you really want. Communicate with others as clearly as you can to avoid misunderstandings, sadness and drama. With just this one agreement, you can completely transform your life."

---Don Miguel Ruiz---

"The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing... not healing, not curing... that is a friend who cares."

---Henri Nouwen---

It takes strength and courage not weakness, when you ask for help.

Its easy to be comfortable in your environment isn't it?
When was the last time you broke out of it?

You can lie to everyone around you, you can lie to yourself.
However, at the end of the day....you will still be lying by yourself and so you have to ask yourself.
Is this me? Is this all that represents my image, my character and my beliefs?

If everyone cared: there would be less war and hunger

If everyone cared: there would be less homelessness

If everyone cared: there would be more food and laughter to go around

If everyone cared: everyone would have clothing, food & shelter

Don't be Lazy! Start achieving your mini goals in order to achieve the "BIG" goals

How will we ever achieve the “BIG” goals if we cannot even achieve the little ones along the way?

Just like the tidal waves of the ocean...painful emotions come and go.
However, do not bottle it up inside because like glass...the bottle will break and all of your emotions will come out all at once.  This can sometimes be too much to cope.
Laugh, smile:
Enjoy a good:
-cup of coffee
-conversation
-movie
-book
-jog, walk, swim, bike ride

Everybody hurts......sometimes

The Mirror

The Mirror

I look in the mirror
And what do I see?
A strange looking person
That cannot be me.

For I am much younger
And not nearly so fat
As that face in the mirror
I am looking at.

Oh, where are the mirrors
That I used to know
Like the ones which were
Made thirty years ago?

Now all things have changed
And I’m sure you’ll agree
Mirrors are not as good
As they used to be.

So never be concerned,
If wrinkles appear
For one thing I’ve learned
Which is very clear,

Should your complexion
Be less than perfection,
It is really the mirror
That needs correction!!

Edmund Burke, 1729 - 1797, Irish Philosopher.
